What is the Employee Assistance Program (E.A.P.)?

It is a confidential, professional counselling service for eligible WLU employees and their families. It is a free, voluntary and high quality service provided by Mosaic Counselling, a program of Carizon and Community Services (and formerly CFCC).  Carizon is a professional counselling agency that has been helping children, individuals and families since 1952. A Mosaic EAP helps clients find solutions, increase their personal effectiveness, and improve their overall satisfaction with life.

How do I make an appointment?

To arrange a confidential appointment at Mosaic EAP, simply call at any time 24/7/365:

Mosaic EAP hotline: 1-800-743-4140 (English)
or 1-888-687-9197 (French)

Eligible WLU employees and their family members are invited to call at any time with any question. Your Mosaic EAP facilitates the client getting the information and support they need to develop effective solutions. The intake process includes locating complementary community resources where helpful. Where counselling is the appropriate solution, the client is matched from the outset with the most appropriate counsellor. An appointment is scheduled at the time of the first call. Immediate crises appointments are available.

Where are they located?

You can meet with a counsellor at:

  • Mosaicís main office in Kitchener (400 Queen Street South, Kitchener)
  • Mosaicís Cambridge office  (1145 Concession Road, Cambridge)
  • Family Counselling Centre of Brant (54 Brant Ave, Brantford)
  • Family Counselling and Support Services for Guelph-Wellington (109 Surrey Street East, Guelph)

Additionally, Mosaic is able to connect clients to counsellors across Canada through a national network of Family Services counselling agencies, and in Quebec, in partnership with Le Groupe Renaud. Mosaic has a network of specially selected counsellors in the United States.
