The Laurier Institute for Water Science (IWS) is a multi-disciplinary, collaborative undertaking among research faculty in the Faculty of Arts, the School of Business and Economics, and the Faculty of Science. 

The focus of the institute is on research in three interconnected water-related disciplines:

  • Hydrological Sciences,
  • Ecology & Biogeochemistry,
  • Public Policy and Management.


Walk the Frog: Breaking our paralysis on climate change

Tom Rand, a senior cleantech advisor at the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto, will deliver a talk, titled “Waking the Frog: Breaking our Paralysis on Climate Change,” on March 6 at Wilfrid Laurier University. The lecture begins at 6 p.m. in the Senate and Board Chamber on Laurier’s Waterloo campus.
