People at Laurier

Alex Latta, Global Studies Alex Latta brings an inter-disciplinary approach to environmental questions, with a focus on the way that cultural identity, political institutions and economic power shape the possibilities for democratic citizenship and ecological sustainability. His current research explores the contentious debates over Chilean energy policy and the development of hydroelectric dams in the AysÚn region of Patagonia.
